Serving south central Kansas and north central Oklahoma, we have the expertise to market equipment, land and homes in today’s competitive media as well as the handshake you can trust to get it done right.
Hello! I’m Jed Hill, owner and supervising broker of Great Western Auction and Realty in Medicine Lodge, Kansas. As a seller of real estate or personal property, you have some important decisions to make. Here at Great Western, our goal is to offer you our best and most sound advice. That means that we will look at your property, and your situation, to help you decide the best marketing strategy for you. We’ll do our best to inform you of the auction process as well as the process of just traditionally listing your property. We will do our best not to suggest to you an overinflated price for your property just to get your listing. If you’ve put your property on the market, it’s probably with the intentions of getting it sold in a timely manner for a fair price, and that’s what we’d like to help you accomplish. We also offer the option of online auctions for items through Auction Time and look forward to expanding those services. We look forward to visiting with you!
Owner, Supervising Broker
A 1997 graduate of Medicine Lodge High School, I attended Missouri Auction School in 1999 and received my bachelor’s degree in animal science with a business option from Kansas State University in 2002. I obtained my Kansas Real Estate Salesperson’s Licence in 2003. From that point, I was a real estate sales associate and auctioneer for Nixon Auction and Realty with John W. Nixon as my broker. That is where my license remained until 2020, when I opened Great Western. I live in Medicine Lodge with my wife, Erin, and our two children Weston and Cortlyn. In addition to Great Western, we run cattle and farm here in Barber County. I’ve been involved in managing machinery auctions throughout my career as well as booking and conducting many large-scale real estate auctions and many traditional real estate sales here in south central Kansas and northern Oklahoma.
